I've always been a firm believer that you should show and not tell. I've spent 25 years of my life designing products of various shapes and sizes. I know a thing or two. When I started down this path, I had no knowledge of where it would end. I relied on the design doing I learned while in architecture school.
Over the years I have seen a fragmentation of roles, a distancing from real design doing, and no single way of describing what we do. There is no umbrella term for what we create (like architecture), and no simple answer for 'What do you do?". Here is my reponse.
This is my manifesto on design and reflects my ideology for how I approach design. It is robust (but not complete), inclusive, and biased towards the act of designing. This is my way of giving back. Take it or leave it.
